Successful hosting of PSL final will send a positive message about security, says PCB chairman


Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Shaharyar Khan on Tuesday said the successful hosting of the Pakistan Super League final in Lahore will send a positive message to the international cricket community that conditions are better and security can be provided.
"If we can successfully hold the PSL final in Lahore, it will send a message to all that the conditions are better here and security can be provided," said Khan while speaking to the media in Lahore.
Khan added that it is hoped the conditions will improve gradually after the final and international teams might once again start touring Pakistan.
"In my opinion it is a very important event for Pakistan and cricket in the country."
The PCB chairman reiterated the PSL final will be held in Lahore and all stakeholders, including security and government departments, are working towards the goal.
When questioned regarding the recent wave of terror attacks in the country, Khan said he believes the attacks are focused towards security and national instituions and not the final scheduled to be held in Lahore.

PSL to devise strategy for sale of tickets

PSL organisers are deliberating upon a policy for sale of tickets for the league's final, said sources in the league.
The tickets for the final are expected to be on sale within next few days. "The PSL final tickets would be available for sale online," said a source.
Qadafi Stadium, Lahore has a seating capacity of 25,000 people divided into 14 enclosures. The minimum price of tickets for the match would be Rs500 per ticket, with the most expensive priced at Rs12,000, sources told DawnNews.
The renovation work of the stadium has been started. An inauguration ceremony for the final would also be held.
